Hello Everybody

Postby Antie Em » Wed Sep 17, 2014 10:00 am

Well - coming to the end of the wedding season (Phew) !!! :P :P :P

Last year Ancestry gave me a discount on my annual sub for being a loyal customer since 2004. I asked them last week if I could again have a loyalty discount, but they said no. So - I have gone over to FMP, for a staggering £49.00 for a year - brilliant.

Have been trying to get used to it this morning and thought I might put my Salt tree on there. I have done a bit, but can't find out where I can look at other people's trees, I am assuming this would be the same as Ancestry, as you do have the option of keeping it public or private.

I'm sure one of my mates out there will tell me how.

Maggie :P

As far as I know you can't search other trees as you can on ancestry. :(

Anyway ------ not sure if I like it yet - probably need to get into it a bit more. But - they have reinstated the address search on the 1911 census - which is really useful - so if anyone wants an address lookup ........

Funny though, that they give you the option of Private or Public when you start to add your family tree :?

You can pick a date - the only date I have booked is Saturday the 8th for our family get together.

I will leave it to you - I love surprises xxxxx :P :P

Just two weddings to get through then I can breath - thought I might book the Wednesday tour at Dudley - I can make any Wednesday as long as I'm back home by 2.30 for the kids. You joining me ??

Oh - and I've found out that FMP are going to do the same as Ancestry with family trees - it will be available shortly.

5th November is my birthday, but we're celebrating on the 8th, with a bonfire of course. Or the one that Jan's organising - don't have a date for that one yet though. If Stuart isn't there. I can arrange something so that you can get together. xx
