Personally, I wouldn't put their father's name in as either William Shepherd or William Carpenter, but put a note on Myra's info stating that is is assumed that the Father of the children born after David Carpenter's death is William Shepherd, or words to that effect.

I agree with BC wench Mally. If William Carpenter had died he cant be father. I was looking for William Shepherd/Sharpell what ever his name was in 1891 but didnt see anything...
