Hi All, another new member

Postby jo. » Sun Sep 23, 2012 10:27 am

Hi All

A very much a novice genealogist, so naivety is the keyword!

I'm researching my husbands family tree.. Parsons and Thomas's. We know that the Thomas originate from south Wales, and in the Main the Parsons are from the Tauton/Bridgwater area...

So I shall be asking some very naive questions indeed on my way....

And the first one..

With limited funds...

If I join one of the various websites...

What sort of documentation can I expect!

Such as if I find a 'birth. marriage or death via the index, will I be able to view the certificate using the site, or will it be limited to index entry, or will I be able to view the original or transcript via the web, or will I have to order up the certificate to check it's full details?

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Thanks for your welcome....

Had a very interesting search today, which throw up a couple of glitches, but I'm off to ask in another subforum..
