Hi all

New to the forum so thought I would say hello.

I'm particulary interested in the Wood family from Oldbury who were part owners of the Wood and Ivery brickyard. George Wood 1808-1880 was my great x 3 grandfather

Interesting, Kiansmom and NL, it would be nice to find a connection with my Oldbury Wood family. Mine originated in Alveley, Shropshire, my great grandfather settled in Oldbury Worcs in the 1850s and became a cordwainer (shoemaker). We might have connected families even if our Woods are different, Oldbury being a relatively small place! My main website with photos is on Tribal Pages, "The Wood family of Alveley". I also have the same tree minus pictures on My Heritage, Rootsweb World Connect and Ancestry with a similar title. Best wishes, Dennis.
