I am looking for details for and descendants of.
I have census details from Ancestry.

JOHN HANDLEY b 1808 Bristol, he moved about 1839 to Stroud and later Painswick as a boot and shoe maker.
His wife was Elizabeth her surname was Harris b 1809 Bristol.
Was he related to the John Handley mentioned in Piggots Directory 1830, Boot and Shoe maker 9 Castle St Bristol?

JOHN HARRIS HANDLEY b 1837 Stroud
Boot and Shoe maker High St. Stroud
He later moved to 45 Cricklade St. Cirencester with wife Fanny and son Harold.
They were by now cycle manufacturers.

GEORGE F HANDLEY b 1841 Stroud, he moved to Hackney as a Druggist and Chemist.
His wife was Stella Alice Malin b 1844 Jersey

GEORGE EDMUND HANDLEY b 1873 Hackney was a master gas fitter. Married a Lilian Rutledge b 1877 Camden Town.
They both dissapeared from the face of the earth c1905 it was reputed they emigrated to Canada but not in 1911 census.

They had 2 daughters
Stella Lilian Barbara Handley
Ruth Handley alter known as Margaret Handley

They had 1 son
HUBERT HANDLEY b 1903 address 103 Kingsland Rd Hackney , he was left in an orphanage and later joined the Devon Regiment.

I am now looking for Handley's in the Bristol st. Philip & St. Jacob parishes 1600 - 1820 , mostly they were cordwainers.
I have Ancestry and Hugh Wallis's site.
