DAVIS beetleman Birmingham
My 3xgreat grandfather William DAVIS (1807-91) was a fendermaker in Heath Mill Lane, well known as "The Old Deritorian". His wife was Ann TYE dau of Charles. The business was started by his father John DAVIS (or DAVIES) who died in Feb 1851 so just missed the 1851 census, so I don't know where he came from (he was a N in 1841).
