I am trying to find a wife for William Horton and I have come across 2 possibilities but both seem to have married him on the same date 19th Aug 1833 is it unusual to have this occur.

Probably there were more William Hortons than we thought possible
Do you have him in the census in 1841 and 1851? Does that give his wife's first name? And perhaps narrow down where they were likely to marry. Did they have children together after 1838? If so then the birth record for the children should also have her maiden name on it.
